SCMS and Ars Lyrica Present Handel's La Resurrezione
La Resurrezione is an operatic telling of the Resurrection story, composed by the young G. F. Handel, with vocal fireworks, beautiful melodies, and a stellar cast. This extraordinary oratorio, which established Handel's reputation in Rome, features a feisty Angel, an annoyed Lucifer, and three of Jesus' most faithful companions. Ars Lyrica of Houston is a Grammy Nominee for Best Opera 2011, creating world-class performances of early music for a general audience.
