Black Marmot and The Gilded Splinters are joining forces to give you a night of music that melds the sensibilities of folk with the attitude of rock 'n' roll.
Raised and cultivated in Somerville, Cambridge, and Boston, Black Marmot has been delivering its unique adaptations of folk, blues, rock to New England since 2009. The band's intricate arrangements and evocative lyrics have made their way to eager listeners from Block Island, to New London, CT, to the Naukabout Music Festival where the Marmots opened for the Ryan Montbleau Band and Bela Fleck. In Black Marmot's travels, the band's debut album Run Home has steadily gained critical acclaim and regional radio play. Now Boston fans are treated to brand new, captivating, and inventive music as Black Marmot moves towards a second release.
The Gilded Splinters are a fixture on the true alt country scene in the Boston area. The Splinters have found their voice on their sophomore album Cut n' Run (release scheduled on October 16th) and are eager to share it in all of its gritty and raw glory.
