The Jupiter Quartet with Jose Franch-Ballester
The Jupiter String Quartet consisting of Nelson Lee, Meg Freivogel, Liz Freivogel, and Daniel McDonough will perform with Clarinetist Jose Franch-Ballester. Both are winners of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, and been described as immaculate in technique with masterful reading and mature expression. In 2007, the Jupiter String Quartet won the Cleveland Quartet Award from Chamber Music America, a prize which honors and promotes a rising young string quartet whose artistry demonstrates that it is in the process of establishing a major career. They have also been selected to join Lincoln Centers Chamber Music Society Two for a three year residency.

They are joined by the Spanish-born clarinetist who has won First Prize in the Competition of the Cultural Council of Valencia for three consecutive years and other awards. According to the Birmingham News, "he exudes confidence with solid, immaculate technique and a rich, resonant tone."
