Will Franken's "Second Sandwiches"
Will Franken (SF Weekly's "Best Comedian", "Patron Saint of Misrule" and SF Bay Guardian's "Best Alternative to Psychedelic Drugs") returns to the historic Purple Onion Comedy Club in North Beach, Saturday, September 10th at 8pm.
Fresh from two completely new and successful theatrical shows last month, Franken returns to his live action best with his latest opus "Second Sandwiches".
This long-form set will incorporate some of the best elements from the brand-new (and Will Franken's first ever) love story: "Dieter Und Sheila At International Youth Hostel".
Yet this time, everything is centered around a disastrous date between a clingy middle-aged man and his gum-cracking ex-stripper New York girlfriend who happen upon a downtown eatery by the name of "Taco's Sandwiches". As they soon discover, the apostrophe is no typo. There are no tacos at "Taco's Sandwiches". The establishment is run by a man named Taco who sells magic sandwiches; each with a story of its own.
