GoFishLA - Made in America Release Party!
For the most up to date information about this trip please visit our website LadlesandJellyspoons.com.
I am proud to announce that we are going fishing with a who's who of Los Angeles chefs on Sunday October 23rd 2011, to celebrate the release on my book MADE IN AMERICA. If you are lucky enough to hook one of our VIP tickets ($150) you can come too. The boat departs at 12 noon - so best to meet at the dock a little before - don't want to miss the boat. The price of the ticket includes a copy of the book - that I and all the chefs on board will sign.
Chefs coming on this trip are yet to be finalized but I am inviting all the local chefs who are in the book: José Andrés (The Bazaar), Andrea Cavaliere (Cecconi's), Michael Cimarusti (Providence), Josiah Citrin (Mélisse), Brendan Collins (Waterloo and City), Alain Giraud (Maison Giraud), Suzanne Goin (Lucques), Evan Kleiman (Angeli Caffé), Ludo Lefebvre (LudoBites), Waylynn Lucas (Fonuts - formerly at The Bazaar), Michael McCarty (Michael's), Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger (Border Grill), Brian Moyers (BLT Steak), David Myers (Comme Ca), Zoe Nathan (Huckleberry), Wolfgang Puck (Spago), Richard Ruskell (Montage), Nancy Silverton (Mozza), Curtis Stone, Mariah Swan (BLD), Michael Voltaggio (ink.) and Sherry Yard (Spago).
For this trip the chefs will bring a taste of Made in America - be it their own recipe that is in the book or a classic America recipe they want to share - Bacon Burgers, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Lobster Rolls, Boneless Chicken wings, Whoopie Pies, Pizza, Apple Pie, Mac n Cheese - the menu is going to be out of this world and all made in America.
They get to come if they bring along some delicious tasty treats for us all to share for lunch. Rick Moonen Lobster Rolls, MB Post Heirloom Tomato Salad with Lemon Ricotta, Cecconi's Truffle sliders, Grilled Cheese Truck Gourmet Grilled Mac n Cheese Sandwiches, the best Chocolate Chip Cookies from Providence, LA Mill iced coffee and Dark and Stormy cocktails were highlights of previous trips - the chefs don't disappoint when it comes to the delicacies they bring aboard for all to enjoy.
When fishing or eating or drinking the chefs will multi task and share recipe ideas for the catch, I will share stories from my travels around America meeting over 100 of America's best chefs and there will be a prize for the biggest fish caught.
If you would like the opportunity to fish with this esteemed bunch you'll have to act fast we are only offering a limited number of VIP tickets ($150), on a first come, first served basis.
Note: VIP Tickets for the general public are available for $150.00 per person on a first-come, first-sold basis via Brown Paper Tickets. You bring: A rod (available to hire on the boat) and a fishing license(go to http://www.dfg.ca.gov/licensing/ols/ and purchase a one day fishing license $14), sunscreen, and a smile! As well as the treats the Chefs are bringing aboard there are drinks (including beer) and food sold on the boat. All ticket sales are non-refundable.
*Final chef list to be confirmed. No bananas allowed on board - Chef Cimarusti says it's bad luck.
