Summer Cycle Celebration
Join Bike Works in celebrating cycling, summer, and you at a community bike ride and picnic! This free event is a way for us to appreciate our volunteers and supporters.
The ride (open to any friend of Bike Works over 18 years old) will meet at Bike Works at 1pm. From there, we'll take an easy, social pace, and end up at the picnic site on Lake Washington at Seattle Parks & Recreation's Bicycle Sunday event (where Lake Washington Blvd is closed to motorized vehicles).
The picnic will be held at 4400 Lake Washington Blvd, north of Lakewood Moorage. It starts at 2pm and will feature free food, entertainment and fun!
Join in the ride and stay for the picnic or just ride the ride and split, or skip the ride, head to the picnic and enjoy the eats!
The picnic will also be the finish line party for a super-fun benefit for Bike Works put on by our friends and neighbors at Empire Espresso, the Coffee Jitters Alleycat Race! This morning-time scavenger hunt will have teams of riders visiting the city's awesome independent cafés, consuming tons of coffee and riding bikes all over Seattle! Riders under the age of 18 are welcome, but they must ride with a parent/guardian.
Visit http://bikeworks.org/events.php or contact Davey Oil at volunteers@bikeworks.org to learn more about the race or to register your team.
