An 'Angel'-ic Concert with Countertenor Ryland Angel
If you haven't yet heard the remarkable sound of the countertenor voice, here's your chance to hear one of the best. Internationally acclaimed, and Grammy nominated, countertenor Ryland Angel joins La Follia in an intimate concert of early Baroque music, much of it composed as a tribute to Mary, mother of Jesus. Backed by exotic instruments like the gamba and theorbo, the sound is otherworldly. Hear why the countertenor was the rock star of the Renaissance and Baroque, its effect no less potent today than it was then.
