RELEASE THE SUNBIRD
Rogue Wave's Zach Rogue is starting a new adventure with Release the Sunbird, a band that showcases a particular mastery of contemplative folk through a sepia sun-soaked lens. Rogue and singer Kate Long's vocals meld quite well on title track 'Come Back to Us,' producing an intimate and pastoral effect. The chorus, though hesitant and reserved, allows the listener to be lulled through the rest of Rogue's acoustic landscape, each part of the song giving way to the next, collapsing into a padded and wondering electric solo. The video for 'Come Back to Us' features Rogue and Kate traveling through the hills and valleys of California in an old beat-up truck. The pair find a river to deploy a small boat and sail slowly through the water. Stream Release the Sunbird's 'Come Back to Us' Album Free "This is the second chance I've had to work with [director] Tyler Manson," Rogue tells Spinner. "This time around, he told me we were gonna get inside his friend Jay Nelson's boat and ride along, cameras is hand. Some day I hope to release the behind-the-scenes footage (filmed by yours truly) of us trying to actually get the boat into the water. It was kind of a nightmare trying to lift it over the bank and slide it into the water. After that, the 1/2-horsepower engine wouldn't start, so Tyler and Jay got into wetsuits and had to swim behind the boat, pushing it and also trying to film at the same time. It was hilarious. I thought for sure they were going to drop one of those mega-expensive cameras into the drink. I'm glad me and Kate held onto the Super 8." And this wondering sensation is present throughout Rogue's first solo album 'Come Back to Us' which will be released July 26 via Brushfire records.

More info about the Bike Federation and 20x2020 http://20-by-2020.com/ A project of the Bike Federation of Wisconsin The goal of the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin's 20by2020 campaign is to unite 10,000 Madisonians in an effort to create a Madison where tens of thousands of residents and visitors make bicycling an integral part of their daily life. We want an innovative bicycle system that encourages 20% of all the trips in Madison are made by bicycle by the year 2020. More info about Planet Bike: www.planetbike.com At Planet Bike we dream about bikes. We dream about people riding bikes: riding to work, riding to school, riding bikes to the grocery store, concerts, sporting events, coffee shops and grandma's house, too. We also dream about the day when allcities and towns are safer and more convenient places for cyclists. The reasons that we love riding and want others to share the love are as numerous as our pedal strokes. The sport of cycling thrills us; but, for us it's equally thrilling to unlock the potential of the bicycle as a simple and efficient means oftransportation. Riding in place of driving reduces air and noise pollution. It boosts endorphins and clears the head. Riding strengthens the cardiovascular system, gives you good strong legs, and burns extra calories, to boot. Besides all that, it's a whole heck of a lot of fun. Blessed Feathers
Blessed Feathers is the result of restless songwriting by a couple of folks who write and sing songs in the kettled forests of southeast Wisconsin. Together they furiously bang away at their small army of guitars, banjos, accordions, and whatever else they can get their hands on. Come see us in person. Shake our hands. We'd like that.
