Bookmarks Presents an Eat & Greet with Kevin Gillespie
James Beard Award Finalist Kevin Gillespie was voted "Fan Favorite" on Bravo's "Top Chef," where he won the most "Quickfire Challenges" and "Elimination Challenges" in the show's history.
Owner of Gunshow in Atlanta, Gillespie's new cookbook, Pure Pork Awesomeness, shares his unbounded passion for pork in 100 unique recipes with global flavors.
Tickets are $42 and include samples of recipes from Pure Pork Awesomeness prepared by Bib's, a copy of Gillespie's book, and a presentation by Gillespie.
Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Tickets required.

Longer Bio: Chef Kevin Gillespie's true passion lies in serving his guests quality food every day in his restaurant, Gunshow, in Atlanta. The restaurant features a unique dining style where Gillespie prepares both refined and rustic dishes from which guests may choose what to eat as it is brought out from the kitchen. His debut cookbook, Fire in My Belly, was released in October 2012 and was a James Beard Award Finalist. An Atlanta native, Gillespie began his culinary education at the Art Institute of Atlanta. After graduating with honors, Gillespie held positions at several well-known Atlanta restaurants including Woodfire Grill, where he was promoted to executive chef in 2009. During his time at Woodfire, the restaurant was featured on CNN and in Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine and Men's Health as a dining destination in Atlanta. Gillespie earned a spot on Bravo's award-winning series "Top Chef," where he won the most "Quickfire Challenges" and "Elimination Challenges" in the show's history and was voted "fan favorite." A rising culinary star, Gillespie is the recipient of numerous awards, including: Mother Nature Network's top "40 Chefs Under 40" for linking farms to forks and promoting better health for people and the planet; Gayot.com's "Top Five Rising Chefs;" two-time semi-finalist for the James Beard Foundation's "Rising Star Chef of the Year" award; Forbes' "30 Under 30"; and many more. When not at the restaurant, Gillespie can be found participating in culinary events around the country including the Charleston Food and Wine Festival. He is a member of Slow Food Atlanta, Southern Foodways Alliance, Chefs Collaborative, and many other groups. In his new cookbook, Pure Pork Awesomeness, Gillespie shares his unbounded passion for pork in 100 unique recipes with global flavors.
