Longer Bio: Katie Workman is the author of The Mom 100 Cookbook and the creator of themom100.com blog. She is the founding Editor in Chief of Cookstr.com, the website that shares tested, trusted recipes from cookbooks created by respected chefs and cookbook authors. Her first job after college was with Clarkson Potter Publishers, specializing in cookbooks, and she remained there for 12 years learning every part of the cookbook publishing world while becoming a Senior Editor. After a stint as Associate Publisher at Workman Publishing, Workman left to launch Cookstr.com in 2008. She established the popular Cookstr weekly newsletter and has written for many websites and publications, including The Daily Beast, AOL Food, KitchenDaily.com, AARP.com, bravo.com, Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, and New York Magazine. She currently writes a bi-weekly column for The Huffington Post. Workman has been featured on The Today Show, VH1, Fox News, and many other national and local tv shows, as well as The New York Times, Food & Wine Magazine, Parade Magazine, Relish, and Cooking Light Magazine. Workman has recently turned her attention to the biggest problem that every family cook faces: how to make everyone at the table happy without turning into a short-order cook. Expanding on one of the most popular features of the first cookbook, her ingenious "Fork in the Road" recipe solution, which makes it so easy to turn one dish into two or more, Workman shows many mix-and-match recipe ideas to fit all types of eaters in your home. The result of Workman's new cookbook, Dinner Solved!: 100 Ingenious Recipes That Make the Whole Family Happy, Including You!, is no more cranky eaters, no more dinner table strife, no more unsure or stressed-out cooks.
