Byrd & Street

With harmonies "tight like the Every Brothers" and kathy's sweet pure voice, a perfect contrast to Tommy's earthy soulful sound, Byrd & Street have been making music together since 2001. Their vocals have been likened to "Lyle Lovette meets Alison Kraus" and their music, "real Americana done with integrity and soul.

Before joining forces with Kathy Street, Tommy Byrd played with the Geezinlaws, sang harmony with Willie Nelson, and won numerous song writing awards, including the Song of Austin. Kathy sang with folk and pop groups and performed in musicals and cabarets.

They continue to win awards, most recently taking first place in the KVET jingle contest. Byrd and Street won the Top Country song in 2006 and Best Lyrics Award in 2008 in the Austin Songwriters Group competitions.

Their music has been licensed by the Redman House Foundation in California, Central Texas Adoption Coalition, Austin Humane Society and Austin German Shepherd Rescue.
