The Tequila Trail
The 2011 Tequila Trail kicks off this year's Spirits of Mexico Festival. Mexican cuisine connoisseurs and tequila lovers will start the weeklong fiesta off with a bang as they blaze through the streets of Old Town, visiting nine participating restaurants, pairing tasty samplings with sips of tequila, mezcal and bacanora.
The Tequila Trail features nine world-renowned eateries including Barra Barra Saloon, Café Coyote, Miguel's Cocina, Old Town Mexican Café, El Fandango, The Cosmopolitan Hotel & Restaurant, Casa Guadalajara, La Piñata and Rockin' Baja Lobster. Attendees can enjoy savory samplings of Old Town's best Mexican cuisine, and agave spirits, including Vitzo Bacanora; Scorpion, Mijes, Maria & Oro de Oaxaca Mezcals and Tequilas 1519, Arta, Chinaco, Fortaleza, Herradura, Milagro and Tres Agaves as well as Casa ZG Sangrita. Old Town comes alive with flavor as guests wind through the heart of Mexican culture.
