Leche De Tigre at Aloha Theatre

Kona-based band Leche De Tigre has filled just about every dance floor on the Big Island, engaging audiences with a distinct blend of musical flavors. On Saturday, September 17th, the band will bring their signature Latin Gypsy Funk sound for the first time to the Aloha Theatre in the historic town of Kainaliu.
This will be the second show in Leche De Tigre's 2011 Big Island theater tour, having successfully entertained a crowd at the Honoka'a People's Theatre earlier this year.
Leche De Tigre will play two full sets of original music, starting at 7:30pm. The show is open to audiences of all ages.
Advance tickets are available for $10 from Kiernan Music in Kainaliu, Patz Pies in Kealakekua, Ceviche Dave's, Music Exchange, and Soundwave Music in Kailua-Kona. Online advance tickets can be purchased at www.LDTband.com and www.AlohaTheatre.com. Tickets at the door will be $15 (cash only).
Leche De Tigre's Lactophilia CD will be available at the show, with 50% of CD sales benefiting the American Cancer Society.
About Leche De Tigre
Three nylon-string guitars, drums, bass, cello, percussion, vocals form the 8-piece group Leche De Tigre (LEH-cheh deh TEE-grey), started in 2009 in Kona, Hawaii. A blend of musical styles known as latin gypsy funk, their sound is laced with rock influences and relies on the percussive and melodic impact of acoustic guitars to engage the audience, bringing with it a wide appeal.
