Nadya Ginsburg's Madonnalogues at REDLIGHT THURSDAYS AT RISQUE - SF
REDLIGHT AT RISQUE San Francisco is pleased to announce that they will be hosting Ginsburg's eagerly awaited return to San Francisco, where last time she played to sold out crowds - with the newest installment of her critically acclaimed, multi character show, MADONNALOGUES. Nadya Ginsburg has been called "the woman of a thousand voices " Roseanne Barr has said she is "brilliant," Perez Hilton has called her a "genius" and Al Roker thinks "she rules." Her career as an actress and writer encompasses the NYC and LA stage, network television, feature film and the fast-developing world of Internet Comedy. Fresh from a sold out run in NYC where she was Village Voice Choice and Time Our NYC's pick of the week, Nadya brings the newest installation of her solo show, Madonnalogues for one night of her trademark celebrity-skewing, and song to Risqué; two shows on Thursday September 15th at 7pm and 10 pm. A self-styled "edgy Jew-talian Tracy Ullman" Ginsburg honed her talent for creating offbeat original characters and celebrity impressions on the stages of New York City along side the likes of Amy Poehler and Sarah Silverman. As a voiceover actor Ginsburg has lent her thousand voices to everything from Japanimation films to national radio spots. She was brought to Los Angeles to be a series regular on the WB sketch comedy series HYPE and has written and starred in series for Comedy Central, VH1, MTV and Lifetime Television. Nadya has guest-starred on Bill Murray's Sweetspot on Comedy Central, NBC's The Rerun Show and Frank TV on TBS. She worked alongside Parker Posey in the feature film Adam & Steve and recently co-stared and co-wrote a webisode series produced by and co starring Roseanne Barr, Jackie Beat and Selene Luna. Nadya also has an international cult following for the YouTube series The Worm that she co-wrote and in which she plays Cher, Madonna, Britney Spears, Winona Ryder, Gloria Steinem, a Brooklyn housewife and a giant Worm. Recently Nadya's new Lady Gaga parody, "Al Roker Face," garnered her a guest appearance on the Today Show with Al Roker and Meredith Vierra who called the video "the funniest thing" they had ever seen. "Al Roker Face" was featured on Yahoo's home page and her appearance won "Today's msnbc.com's Moment Of The Week" poll by an 81 percent landslide. Nadya has been featured in Q Magazine in London, In Style Magazine, New York Magazine, The Village Voice, Heeb Magazine, The New York Times, Time Out New York and Time Out Tel Aviv.
