If you are an aspiring writer, self-published looking to take your works to the next level, or just a lover of the written word This is one event you won't want to miss! Lyah will discuss the writing process and how to get your first book published, as well as share her "insider" marketing and promotion tips of the trade in this special writers' workshop open to ages 13 and up. There will also be a chance for aspiring writers to sign up to give 5-minute presentations on a work-in-progress and receive a critique by LeFlore. Lyah Beth LeFlore has published fiction, non-fiction, and young adult books and has also co-authored books, such as the New York Times bestseller I Got Your Back with father and son superstars Eddie Levert and the late, great Gerald Levert, as well as Wildflowers and Last Night a DJ Saved My Life. Most recently, she wrote the popular The Strawberry Letter with radio celebrity Shirley Strawberry of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This $40 workshop comes with a copy of The Strawberry Letter and a brown bag lunch (from Culinary Creations by Jacie), and after the workshop, 13 Black Katz will provide a free wine reception (non-alcoholic beverages will be served as well) so the attendees have a chance to mingle and relax.
