Ian MacKinnon's Gay Music Revolution
Ian MacKinnon's Gay Music Revolution Saturday night August 29th, 2015 8:30 PM $20 / $15 students & seniors Spirit Studio 3711 Evans Street Los Angeles, California 90027
The Gay Music Revolution is an exciting new theatrical multimedia tour of queers in music, lead by performance activist Ian MacKinnon. After meeting the ghost of his little gay childhood self Ian is sent on an erotic quest with the Spirit of Gay Music to cruise sexy queer musicians of the past hooking-up with them and learning their stories in order to become a more fully liberated gay man.
Ian follows his insatiable fetish for homo-history from the dawn of time to the Classical Era, Roaring 20's, Blues, Rock, Glam, Punk, Disco and more, bringing to light some favorite and some lesser known queer musicians who changed the world with their incredible pioneering music.
Join us for an hot evening of laughs and lust, history and horniness, music and magic.
Ian MacKinnon has been working as a performance artist in Los Angeles for over 10 years. His solo show series "The Gay Hist-Orgy" toured all over California to theaters and Universities. He curates many queer performance events including the annual Adonis Project, and Homo-Harvest as well as the monthly LGBT experimental performance event PLANET QUEER. Ian has been leading his "Get More Gay Performance Workshops" in Los Angeles for the past 4 years.
