Music of Beethoven, Chopin, Shostakovich, and More
Pianist Ruby Cheng and The Alcantara Trio (Pianist Ruby Cheng, Violinist Eric Wuest, Cellist Alisha Bower) will perform a variety of music including:
Beethoven: Piano Trio Opus 70, No. 2, first movement
Waldstein Sonata, first movement
Chopin: Prelude #24 in D minor
"Minute" Waltz
Shostakovich: Piano Trio in E Minor, complete
Ruby Cheng is Professor of Piano at Chapman University.
Special Guests: Young violinists of Santa Ana Suzuki Strings
Violinist Clemente Salgado (age 13) will perform Gavotte by F. J. Gossec
Tienrui Guo (age 13, from Talent Education Center, Irvine) will perform Vivaldi Violin Concerto in A Minor, 1st movement
