COMEDY CLASSES with Jen Kober & Jen Bascom
Does Everyone tell you how funny you are? Have you always wanted to be onstage? Ever thought about being a stand-up comedian? Have you always wanted to act or be in the movie, but don't know where to start? Well here's your chance!
Jen Kober and Jen Bascom have over 20 yrs of experience in the world of comedy and show business. They have each appeared on several TV shows (Treme, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Bachelorette, World Cup Comedy and Comedy Central Presents, just to name a few!) Kober has also broken into the movie scene with roles in the kid's film Cool Dog and most recently in The Fields and American Pie Reunion. These two talented ladies will be teaching you, your kids, and your friends how to improvise, how to write jokes, how to be more confident, work and communicate better in a group and most of all - IT's FUN!
We will also be offering a workshop on SATURDAYS at 3 PM that will include how to break into Louisiana's growing Film and TV industry. Learn about good headshots, how to make an acting resume, how to get extra work, how to get an agent, and much more! These workshops are for parents of young actors and for adults wishing to pursue work in the industry. This workshop is $125. Tickets to this are at the door only.
Here's the breakdown for advance spaces in the class:
Kids ages 8-12, from 3-5PM. (cost *$150)
Ages 13-17 from 5-7PM (cost *$150)
Ages 18-beyond 7-9PM (cost *$150)
*If you sign up with a friend you get $25 off for each person so you would only pay $125 and so would your friends!
Space in the class will be $175 at the door, so save time and money and get yours NOW! That's 3 days of classes for only $125 if you bring a friend or family member!
STUDENT SHOWS:
All three levels will do a performance for family and friends on Saturday:
Kids will do a 45 min show with the Jens at 11AM
Teens will do a 45 min show at 1PM
And then the adults will do a showcase that night at 7PM as a pre-show for the Jens' show, MAXIMUM JEN.
There will need to be a minimum of 6 students per class. And 20 maximum so that everyone gets a chance to play a lot during classes. So encourage your friends and family to come out and have a great time with you!
DON'T MISS OUR BIG SHOWS:
Then on Friday and Sat night, Maximum Jen (Jen Kober & Jen Bascom) will have night time shows. We will do one show on Friday at 9PM. And then 2 shows on Sat at 7 and 9 PM. Students can get in for free as long as they bring a paying audience member. Otherwise, they get a discounted ticket for $5.
