SKYLIGHT BOOKS PRESENTS JONATHAN FRANZEN as he reads from his newest novel PURITY
Skylight Books is delighted to present Jonathan Franzen, author of Freedom, The Corrections, The Discomfort Zone and many others, as he reads from his newest novel, Purity, at The Aratani Theater.
Purity is a grand story of youthful idealism, extreme fidelity, and murder. Franzen has imagined a world of vividly original characters--Californians and East Germans, good parents and bad parents, journalists and leakers--and he follows their intertwining paths through landscapes as contemporary as the omnipresent Internet and as ancient as the war between the sexes. Purity is the most daring and penetrating book yet by one of the major writers of our time.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The reading and Q&A will be followed by a signing. Jonathan Franzen will sign copies of Purity and up to three additional titles. There will be no photos permitted during the event.
