Theatre Gigante presents RUMORE DI ACQUE (Noise in the Waters)
Created by Marco Martinelli of Teatro delle Albe (Ravenna, Italy), RUMORE DI ACQUE (Noise in the Waters) tells the story of lives lost in the Mediterranean Sea, the result of a failed attempt to flee oppression in different parts of Africa, with hopes of reaching the shores of Europe.
Performed by Teatre delle Albe's ALESSANDRO RENDA, accompanied by composer/accordionist GUY KLUCEVSEK, and translated live by THOMAS SIMPSON, RUMORE will make you laugh, wince, weep, and reflect on the plight of your own life.
THEATRE GIGANTE is thrilled to bring this production to Milwaukee -- a very rare opportunity!
This project is supported in part by a grant from the city of Milwaukee Arts Board, with funds from the Wisconsin Arts Board.
