Slow Food Chicago Tomato Canning Workshop
In this intimate, hands-on workshop Sam Radov (Pastry Chef at The Publican) will teach you how to save Summer's bounty for a Winter's feast. You will participate in every step as the group makes farm fresh tomatoes ready for the pantry.
The class includes all tools and equipments. You may bring ten pounds of tomatoes from your garden, your favorite farmer, or have Slow Food Chicago procure them for your from our friends at Nichols Farm for the incredible price of $20. (Please note that all tomatoes will be shared and mixed during processing.)
You'll leave with the knowledge and confidence needed to can tomatoes at home as well as a few jars of the tomatoes prepared in class.
