Exactly twenty years after its stellar debut at Live Oak Theatre, kidsActing's monstrously entertaining original 1991 musical, Monsters!, is back in its wildest revival yet, arriving this summer on our own Center Stage Texas stage. Monsters! is the story of the Eebnezals, a typical nuclear Monster family whose world gets turned upside-down when younger brother Ybobb discovers a portal under his bed that leads to a parallel universe inhabited by spooky and scary HUMANS, who are more like themselves than they ever imagined... Co-directed by kidsActing founder Dede Clark and original 1991 Monsters! cast member Kirk German, with music by some of Texas' finest songwriters, including Jimmy LaFave, The Austin Lounge Lizards, and the man himself, Willie Nelson, this show is a funny, thought-provoking, and sure-fire hit that proves "We're All a Blur Under the Fur!" Starring kidsActing's brightest musical stars, Monsters! runs August 5th - 14th at Center Stage.
