Pasa la Vida: Flamenco Chicago Studio Showcase
Flamenco Chicago Studio's 22nd semi-annual studio showcase, with 28 emerging dancers performing traditional and contemporary flamenco.
The setting is the Fasseas White Box Theatre, located within The Menomonee Club/Drucker Center, 1535 N. Dayton St. (Dayton & Clybourn, right off North Ave.).
Two shows: 8-9:30pm on Friday, July 24 8-9:30pm on Saturday, July 25
Sip a glass of complimentary sangrĂa while watching our emerging dancers perform choreographies by Flamenco Chicago artistic director Rosetta Magdalen. Try out a few flamenco dance steps during a mid-show mini-class, and learn about the history of flamenco, the indigenous dance form of Andalucia, in the south of Spain. Our children's class will also perform.
Free parking is available at the in the lot directly adjacent to the Drucker Center on the south end of the building. No permit necessary.
Additional free parking in the Big Deahl gravel lot. Entrance on Kingsbury, with walking exits on Blackhawk. Please park in parking spots labeled 1-25 and stop by the front desk to receive a temporary parking pass.
Fasseas White Box is CTA accessible via Red Line North and Clybourn stop / CTA Bus # 8 and 72 at North and Halsted stop.
