Ariel Rubin is a Canadian born singer/songwriter who recently moved to Boston and began winning the hearts of fans and fellow musicians. After pairing up with producer Mike Davidson of Zippah Studios Ariel recorded an EP that features Boston greats Duke Levine, Steve Sculley and Adam Frederick from the Jason Spooner Trio. With a background as a jazz vocalist and a firm upbringing in folk and country traditions Ariel's music blends all three influences with added pop and rock elements that make her shows great listening for all.
Join Ariel, backed by Steve Sculley, Eric Heveron Smith and Duey Ducharme at the Lizard Lounge on Tuesday July 26th to celebrate the release of her Big Spoon EP. Set to be a night of powerful female vocalists, the show will be opened by the soul filled songstress Samantha Farrell, a Boston local who has been wowing audiences across the country and closed by Cilla Bonnie, a tremendous young talent on plays bass, piano and a voice wielded with finesse.
