Terror at Rock Out Beach
Terror at Rock Out Beach A Burlesque Strip-sical from Screaming Chicken
A classic tale of girl meets boy, boy meets girl, girl meets tentacle death. Screaming Chicken Theatrical Society presents a full length Strip-sical - Terror at Rock-Out Beach - running from August 18th-27th at the Waterfront Theatre.
In its third year of mayhem at the Waterfront Theatre, the Screaming Chickens are back to showcase another original production, Terror at Rock-Out Beach. Mysterious murders have been taking place at Rock-Out Beach, a hip happening scene where Beach Bunnies and local Girl Gangs fight for social supremacy. In trademark Chicken style, the cast meld Theatre and Burlesque into a stellar production of equal parts nudity and hilarity. Instead of breaking into song, these bodacious beach babes and hilarious hunks break into choreographed Burlesque dance spectaculars!
Rock Out Beach was written by Melody Mangler, internationally recognized as a major influence in modern Burlesque and directed by horror theatre veteran Simon C. Hussey co-founder and Artistic Director of Spectral Theatre. The show also features a stellar cast including Aimée Beaudoin, a current Canadian Comedy Award nominee for 'Best Performance by a Female Television' for her work on Caution: May Contain Nuts.
The award winning Screaming Chicken Theatrical Society is one of the worlds largest and longest running Burlesque companies. Their past productions at the Waterfront Theater SHINE: A Burlesque Musical and Greece Does Grease have garnered critical acclaim and left audiences rolling in the aisles.
Terror at Rock Out Beach is proudly sponsored by Scout Boutique (152 East 8th Ave - http://www.scoutboutique.com/) and East Van Graphics (http://www.eastvangraphics.ca/)
