Soundings: Shi-Ling Hsu: 'The Case for a Carbon Tax'
There's a simple, straightforward way to cut carbon emissions, says Shi-Ling Hsuand we're rejecting it because of irrational political fears. Hsu, author of The Case for a Carbon Tax, weighs the merits of the major approaches to curbing CO2 and concludes that while a tax is not the perfect (or only) solution, it can be implemented immediately and paired effectively with other approachesbut we'll have to get past our hang-ups if we are to avert a global crisis. Presented as part of the Soundings from Island Press series by Town Hall and Island Press through the Town Hall Center for Civic Life, in association with IslandWood and Elliott Bay Book Company.
