"On September 13, post-punk originators the Raincoats will release a reissue of their 1981 sophomore album Odyshape on CD and vinyl via their own We ThRee label. The album has been remastered, and it'll include liner notes by Sonic Youth co-leader Kim Gordon.
Around the same time, the Raincoats will also play a short North American tour that'll include their first-ever Chicago and Detroit shows. We've got their dates below, as well as a video of them playing Odyshape opener "Shouting Out Loud" at the 2010 ATP Festival that Pavement curated." -Pitchfork, July 5th 2011

Did you know that... "In 1992 Kurt Cobain of Nirvana went into the Rough Trade Shop in Talbot Road, London in search of a new copy of The Raincoats and Jude Crighton sent him round the corner to see Ana da Silva at her cousin's antique shop. Cobain wrote passionately about this meeting in the liner notes of Nirvana's Incesticide album. In late 1993 Rough Trade and DGC Records released the three albums with liner notes by Cobain and Kim Gordon."
