REMEMBERING PIATIGORSKY PASS (March 15 - March18)
The Remembering Piatigorsky Pass captures the closing weekend of the festival including two recitals featuring rising student stars from the USC Thornton School of Music and The Colburn School, four master classes, the Prelude series, a recital featuring cellists Antonio Lysy, Evan Drachman, Nathaniel Rosen, and Andrew Shulman, and finally the special "Remembering Piatigorsky" film and panel discussion event. A discount code will be awarded towards the purchase of tickets (independent of the cost of a pass) to the concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
The USC Thornton School of Music and the LA Phil in partnership with The Colburn School and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra bring together masters of the cello and young cellists from around the world for a unique celebration of the instrument. Twenty-two outstanding artists, representing twelve countries, converge on Los Angeles for ten days to share their artistry and teaching experience through orchestral concerts, chamber music performances, master classes, and interactive events.
