Starring retired, NYC firefighter, Nick Cianciotto and Betty Sproul
Based on actual events from the September 11 attacks, Nick, a fire captain, is looking for a writer to help him with the eulogies he must present at the memorial services of the men he has lost. An editor named Joan, agrees to assist him and they spend a long afternoon together, recalling the fallen men by recounting their virtues and their foibles and fashioning the stories into memorials of words. In the process, they embrace the spirit of each firefighter, the price each family has paid for their dedication and the enduring bonds of humanity.
