Theatresports Tournament REMATCH!
The Funniest Thing in The Berkshires, The Royal Berkshire Improv Troupe (RBIT) and The Capital Region's Premiere Improv Comedy Troupe The Mop & Bucket Co. (MOPCO) will face off again in a friendly one night only Theatresports improvisation tournament rematch to raise funds for WAM Theatre's November production of 'The Attic, the Pearls, & Three Fine Girls' by Martha Ross, Ann-Marie MacDonald, Jennifer Brewin, Alisa Palmer and Leah Cherniak. WAM's fall production will benefit the Berkshire United Way Teen Pregnancy Initiative.
At last year's tournament, RBIT beat MOPCO by a hair so this year, MOPCO is out to win!
Celebrity Judges include Debra Jo Rupp, Bob Lobhauer and Pam Malumphy.
Ms. Rupp, known for her role as Kitty Forman in the long running sitcom That 70's Show, is also familiar to Berkshire audiences through her work at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Barrington Stage Company and Berkshire Theatre Festival. Joining her at the judges table will be Bob Lobhauer, company member at Shakespeare & Company since 1995. He has played many memorable roles there including starring in the IRNE nominated one-man show, "Mengelberg and Mahler", written by one of last year's celebrity judges, Danny Klein. Ms. Malumphy is the co-chair on the Berkshire County Status on the Commission of Women, Vice President of the Board of the Brigham Community Center and is currently running for State Representative for the State of Massachusetts.
A hilarious night full of laughs-we hope to see you there!
