Spectral Theatre's "Late-Night Double Feature" July '11
All throughout the summer Spectral Theatre's "Late-Night Double Feature" will present two spooky/weird/unusual/offensive scripts lovingly crafted by the freaky, filth mongers in and around Spectral Theatre and performed live on the stage by some of Vancouver's most gruesomely gifted up-and-coming performers. For our 2nd month we're continuing the fun with a freaky pairing of fearsome proportions...
"Gaze a Ghastly Stare" written ...by Devan Vancise and directed by Francine Dulong is an terrifying tale of family and betrayal set within the four walls of an insane asylum.
Featuring Kris Buller, Kurtis Maguire, Hannah Rose Maté, Julia Mauro Cooper and Kayte Wilson.
followed by
"Killing" written by Gerald Varga and Lauren McGibbon and directed by Andrew Barber, a chilling tale of an abattoir employee that will stop at nothing to achieve his dreams.
Featuring Gerald Gerald Geraldson, Lauren McGibbon and Garett Doran Moran.
Both plays playfully recreate the experience of hiding under your blankets reading EC Comics with a flashlight. Just don't let your parents catch you rotting your mind with this smut!
Note: There will be scenes of violence, gore and foul language. Water-based smoke effects, baby powder and strobe lights used during the performance.See More
