Hailed by critics as "a uniquely Memphis blend of grit and delicacy, filled with just enough charm to melt the heart," Amy LaVere is a singer, songwriter, bassist, and storyteller with four releases under her belt on the Archer label. The London Times says Amy "takes the audience into a world where R&B tunes, country waltzes, rockabilly shuffles, and funky Americana music are welded together and given a slightly Gothic twist."

LaVere's latest, Hallelujah I'm A Dreamer, recorded with husband and noted guitarist Will Sexton, captures the immediacy of the live show they've developed on the road together, reveling in stripped-down sounds and uncluttered harmonies that blend so well you can hardly separate one voice from the other. Hallelujah I'm A Dreamer is immediate and striking, a masterfully played (and curated) mix ofold, new and reimagined. Amy played several SXSW shows, including the New West Showcase with Luther Dickinson (who produced her 2014 critically acclaimed Runaway's Diary LP) as well as a handful withJohn Paul Keith as Motel Mirrors. Now, Amy and Will continue doing what they've long done best: touring relentlessly across the U.S., including a stop at Santa Fe's warmest listening venue, GiG Performance Space.
