Forgiveness Workshops with Emily Berry
These storytelling workshops provide an opportunity for community members to share their stories with each other. We all have stories, histories, and experiences that are valuable resources for the communities we live in and engage with. Emily will also present practices that can help to lay paths for forgiveness in our daily lives.
B3W's goal is to connect with vastly diverse communities across the globe to gain a wealth of perspectives on forgiveness while also bringing awareness to the possibilities that a practice of forgiveness can bring to communities.
Emily and B3W Performance Group will be drawing from the community workshops as inspiration for the creation of a performance piece. But it will not be re-telling of the stories collected. Participants can choose to participate in the workshops without having their stories referenced in the performance piece. Many of the stories from workshops across the globe will be blended together to draw connections with the focus on meaning rather than literal stories. How B3W use stories can be seen in Confined, their previous evening length, with the link below. The performance piece will premiere in New York City at the Tribes Performing Arts Center in Spring of 2016.
