Cameron Esposito's Side Mullet Nation
The Playground Theater and GRAFITTI Productions are thrilled to host a limited engagement of Cameron Esposito's "Side Mullet Nation," Fridays at 10pm, August 5 through 19.
Just your average asymmetrically haired punk rock circus ringmaster, roller derby commentator, and atheist with a theology degree, Cameron Esposito lives at the heart of Chicago's alt arts scene. SIDE MULLET NATION covers snapshot-like moments of improbability, huge failure, and tiny success via live performance and video. Cameron's quick wit and hilarious, well-honed storyjoking have garnered a cult Chicago fan base and made her hour-long solo project the Playground's most popular offering at the 2011 TBS Just for Laughs Chicago Festival, leading to the theater's extended run of the show.
Cameron Esposito has been featured on NBC and the Logo television network, Sirius Satellite and WGN radio, NPR's The Sound of Young America and at the TBS Just for Laughs, Aspen Rooftop, Bridgetown, Leicester (UK) and Women in Comedy Festivals. Cameron Esposito's SIDE MULLET NATION has been featured on NPR, WCUI Chicago, in the Chicago Tribune, and was named a best of the fest by the Onion's AV Club. Her debut album, Grab Them Aghast, was released in 2010 on Rooftop Comedy Records.
Tickets are just $10 and our theater is BYOB for guests 21 and over.
