The 1960s saw the emergence of a wave of powerful women rock singers. These women sang from the heart and commanded the stage with their raw emotions. Join us for a celebration of their artistry featuring rare concert performances from of one of the greatest, Janis Joplin, as well as some of her amazing contemporaries. Janis Joplin, who begins and ends the evening, will be seen performing such classics as Down on Me, Piece of My Heart, Ball and Chain, Coming Home, Get It While You Can, Move Over, Try Me and more. In addition, the evening will include Linda Ronstadt's You're No Good, Grace Slick singing Somebody to Love, Aretha Franklin with Respect, Heart with Barricuda, and Tina Turner with Honky Tonk Woman as examples of a similar powerhouse style. No fan of Janis Joplin and these legendary performers will want to miss this one-night-only chance to hear the magic and passion that these women brought to their music. Approx. 90 min
