LAI 2015 July Tour
San Francisco's New Public Safety Building in Mission Bay Join us on a tour of San Francisco's new Public Safety Building in Mission Bay. The $243 million project was funded by the San Francisco 2010 Earthquake Safety and Emergency Response (ESER) bond. The new state-of-the-art campus houses the Police Department headquarters, Southern District Police Station, Fire Station No.4, and the Arson Task Force. Built to modern seismic standards, the building is designed to operate for up to 96 hours off the grid. The project was a design collaboration between HOK and Mark Cavagnero Associates.
The tour will be led by the Paul Woolford from HOK, Ken Lombardi from the Fire Department, and Charles Higueras, Edgar Lopez, Samuel Chui, and John Goldberg from the City's Department of Public Works.
