IPA: The History, the Lore, the Myths and the Libation
Class 1 - July 13th: The history and lore (and myths) of India Pale Ales, featuring English IPA's and traditional recipes
Class 2 - July 20th: Hop plants in America and the Craft Beer Revolution, featuring American IPA's
Class 3 - July 27th: Bigger, Stronger, Better? The birth of an American Style, featuring Imperial IPA's
Over the course of three weeks, our friend and President of the New York City Homebrewer's Guild Chris Cuzme will dive into the history of India Pale Ales - from it's birth and throughout its journey to now as a style. English IPA's, historical recipes, American IPA's and Imperial IPA's will all be explored, tasted and discussed in depth. Special guests from local breweries (such as Sean McCain of Victory) will be in attendance to share and discuss their versions and chime in. Classes will run just over an hour each. $60 for all three classes or $25 a class (price includes beer - IPA's of course).
