Meeting Topic: "The Temple Mount in Jerusalem"
An Architect's Look at a Site & Its Structures to Three World Religions (Adaptive Reuse on an Unprecedented Scale!) An architect's overview of one of the most important sites in the world, The Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Included will be the history and images of the site's most important structures: Solomon's Temple, the Second Temple, Herod's ambitious enlargement of the Second Temple and creation of the Temple Mount, and the main surviving building at this most sacred place, the Islamic Dome of the Rock.
