Cidermaker Dinner Series - Millstone Cellars
Maryland-based MillStone Cellars is a partnership between father-and-son team, Curt and Kyle Sherrer.
Operating out of a refurbished circa 1840's grist mill, they source heirloom cider apples, ferment in oak barrels, and age 5-12 months before blending into finished ciders. They may also infuse with seasonal ingredients, sometimes blending raw honey or pressed fruits and spices. The final cider is left to age in the bottle.
Curt, a winemaker by trade, partnered with his son Kyle, a craft beer afficionado. Together, they make unique and complex cider using old world methods: wood barrels, wild yeasts, spontaneous fermentation.
