WILD FLOWERS by John Enright
Chicago Barely Concealed Productions presents: Wild Flowers written by Chicago playwright John Enright. The show opens on Thursday July 7 and runs through Monday, July 25 at Dream Theatre 556 W 18th St., Chicago. Performances run Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays at 7:30PM, Sundays at 7:00PM. Wild Flowers is a comedy about looking for love... and a missing birth certificate. Maggie learns that she may not be an American citizen - and that she may be deported shortly. Two men vie to help her out of this tight spot, competing for her affection. And before long her mother arrives from Russia, eager to bring Maggie back to the motherland. But Maggie is determined to follow her own heart, and will settle for nothing less than the truth.

Barely Concealed Productions is dedicated to bringing Chicagoans all-original productions - to shine light on the lurking truths that hide in plain sight, truths that make us gasp with recognition, and that crack our faces with laughter or tears. The audience is kept guessing as complex relationships unfold with the strange but familiar logic of human character. John Enright is a Chicago writer. His short plays, Second Sunday and Believe In Me were included in Morgan Park Academy's "Lost and Found: A Collection of One-Acts" in November, 2010. Cleaning House was included in the Dream Theatre Company's "Theatre of Women 5" 24 hour festival in September, 2010. Believe In Me was included in the Dream Theatre Company's "Theatre of Women IV" 24 hour festival in April, 2009. His full-length play, Ready or Not was produced in Chicago in June-July 2009.
