The Tudor Choir presents IN DULCI JUBILO: A RENAISSANCE CHRISTMASa concert of carols, chant, and Renaissance motets for Christmasat historic Blessed Sacrament Church in Seattle's University District, where the choir is a resident ensemble. The renowned Seattle-based choir, directed by Doug Fullington, will perform on Friday, December 30 at 7:30 PM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 5041 9th Ave. NE in Seattle.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Tudor Choir's annual Christmas concert this year will include festive carols, chant, and Renaissance motets from a number of the great European traditions, with music representing England, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Czechoslovakia, and more by such
composers as Thomas Tallis (England), Palestrina (Italy), Tomás Luis de Victoria (Spain), and both Michael and Hieronymous Praetorius (Germany). The 12-voice choir, will perform these a cappella works in the warm acoustic of historic Blessed Sacrament Church, beautifully
decorated for the season.
