Long Form Improv with Jake Walker
MONDAYS NOV 9 - DEC 21 NO CLASS NOV 23 7PM - 10 PM $150
Class description: Making choices, taking risks and following your gut. This long form improv class will strengthen these skills on and off stage and in rehearsal's/ performances. Through scene work, exercises and experimentation we will find ways to shut out the inner judge and dig a direct route to our artistic instincts.
Instructor Bio: Jake Walker has been a professional actor for 17 years. In Kansas City he has acted for KC Rep, Unicorn Theatre, Coterie Theatre, Kansas City Actors Theatre, Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, Fishtank Performance Studio, The Living Room and Theatre for Young America. Regionally he has worked with Denver Center Theatre Company, Curious Theatre, Casa Manana, Arvada Center, Creede Rep and Colorado Shakespeare Festival. Jake's improv career started with Lighten Up improv company, then Funny Outfit. He has studied with Trish Berrong (Comedy City), Dan Izzo (Annoyance Theatre), Dan O'Conner (Comedy Sports LA) and Armando Diaz (UCB).
