Join us for a night of comedic plays by our newly formed New Terminus Players at BlackBox Foundation.
Each play explores relationships from porches, a cafe, and an audition waiting room.
Laundry & Bourbon

The setting is the front porch of Roy and Elizabeth's home in Maynard, Texas, on a hot summer afternoon. Elizabeth and her friend Hattie are whiling away the time folding laundry, watching TV, sipping bourbon and Coke, and gossiping about the many open secrets which are so much a part of small-town life.
The Grand Scheme

The rule of threes. Goes for jokes, and for comic ten-minute plays that audiences enjoy. Bethel and Clarice, now without a rival in town, are at an audition for a new play. Each shows the other what she is going to bring into the audition room. The acting is...broad. And the chicanery is in effect.

I'm Herbert is a sketch about two old, old people sitting on a porch in a pair of rocking chairs and talking. Just talkingand of course they don't know how funny they are. Each has had one or more previous marriages and perhaps a few flings, but they are hazy as to details. In fact, they don't always know which one the other one is.
About New Terminus Players
New Terminus player are local residents to Casa Grande and the surrounding area dedicated to the promotion of stage performance as part of the BlackBox Foundation. This resident troupe of players go beyond just the showing up for rehearsals and doing shows. They are actively engaged in the creation of productions and their roles may be varied depending on the needs of the troupe. Such roles may require purchasing costumes and props. Paying dues and or fundraising for productions. Serving as a lighting and or sound tech for shows. Perhaps serving as an usher or working the box office. A New Terminus Player attends weekly rehearsals, meetings, workshops, etc. The goal of New Terminus Players is to present staged performances for the enrichment and entertainment of our patrons.
