El Teatro Espejo presents a Sacramento premiere...
A new theatrical production: "NERUDA DREAMS"
NERUDA DREAMS presents for its audience - "A Living Museum of Humanity"...
By incorporating the beautiful and evocative words of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda - and in part by Spaniard Federico Garcia Lorca and 17th Century Mexican nun Sor (Sister) Juana Inez de la Cruz
Across generations and centuries, spanning 14 living exhibits, the storytellers and players gather in their scene-scapes our relationship to:
Death; politics and war; and an exploration and understanding of the vulnerabilities and joy inherent in the Art of Romance and Love.
Our Living Museum digs its way into the human soul: Mining for the bare bone, raw heart, and heroic tenderness its characters aim to exist in within their humanism and relationships; pronouncing themselves and we their fellow Humanity.
NERUDA DREAMS is a divergence and melding of what poetry with live theatre can be.
