Birding for Beginners
Join Moe Flannery from the California Academy of Sciences and Giel Witt, Pepperwood Steward, for an introduction to identifying birds. We will begin the day with a presentation on the basics of bird identification and the use of binoculars. We'll then practice these newly acquired skills in the field by identifying fall birds. Though we will carpool to various areas of the preserve, some hiking off-trail over uneven terrain is required. (Open for ages 15 and up.)
