The Oaks of Pepperwood
Pepperwood Preserve has a rich diversity of oak species and hybrids found within a variety of vegetation types (eg chaparral, oak woodland, mixed evergreen forest). Join Steve Barnhart, Pepperwood's Academic Director and expert on California's oaks, to examine the biology, ecology and identity of this exceptionally diverse group. Management, pests and diseases, regeneration and wildlife issues will also be discussed. (Open for ages 15 and up.)
