Will Franken's 38th Birthday Bash
Comedy genius Will Franken (www.willfranken.com) takes the stage Thursday, June 30th at 8pm at the historic Purple Onion in North Beach in celebration of the 38th year of the birth of himself.
This will be the ONLY time he will turn 38. Don't miss it.
Not just for the sacredness of the event itself, but for the new pieces he'll be debuting this particular evening.
Using his trademark comedic transitions, knack for characters and myriad voices and faces, Will will unleash the narrative of his first trip to Disneyland at age 37. In addition, he'll be debuting his new one-man opus: "Dieter und Sheila at the International Youth Hostel"; a love story about a shy German etymologist and an Australian girl of ill-repute. This will be the most complex vignette Will has ever attempted and it's yours for the viewing on this particular evening. Fun is guaranteed for all except the funless.
Also, don't miss the man who justifies cheating on his wife because he now owns a Corvette Stingray. . ."Baby, remember when we first got married and we were driving in your mom's old Cutlass? I told you then that I would be faithful to you until the day I died--or whenever I could afford a Corvette Stingray."
And then, Will plays himself in an interaction with a man who tries to convince him that his comedy is good enough...to GET ON THE INTERNET! WHOOPIE!!!
