MAGNETIC with Mark Farina and Human Blue
On August 6th, IOSIS Art Party, Uniting Souls, Copasetic and Infinite Connections bring you a Saturday night like no other. As the exhibits of the Pacific Science Center stimulate your mind, your body will bob and sway to the sounds of MARK FARINA and HUMAN BLUE. Among the "Animal Attractions", you'll find Mark Farina and Carlos Mendoza spinning funky house from Chicago and San Francisco. Human Blue comes to you from Sweden playing live progressive trance in the "Insect Repellent" arena. When you need to cool down and get some rest, let the "Polarity Patio" draw you in for some cool drinks (21+ cash only bar) and sultry sounds provided by a pack of DJs including Mr. Supreme, DJ Spektra, Johnny Love and more special guests and performers. Proceeds from the Polarity Patio bar go to benefit the Global Music Project, http://www.globalmusicproject.com.
And there's more... Ramiro and Jeromy Nail add to the allure of the "Animal Attractions" with their collection of groovy, soulful house music. Like a colony of marching ants, Osiris Indriya, Amanita and DJ ML lead you through an expedition of tribal progressive sounds in the "Insect Repellant". To add to the already lush scenery, you'll find geometries and artifacts by Tashi Meath, paintings by Juniper, and digital art by Osiris Indriya sponsored by Seattle Chromaworks, http://www.seattlechromaworks.com.
It's time to show your true animal instincts and RESIST THE URGE TO STAY HOME. Costumes encouraged and performers welcome. "You are a god among insects. Never let anyone tell you different." -Magneto (Marvel's X-Men)
