The Cherry Orchard
The Cherry Orchard The Lind House, New Ulm Minnesota

With members of the New Ulm/Sleepy Eye Community; Olivia Blake, Christopher Gordon, Steve Johnson and Anna Surprenant. Music by the Sleepy Eye Concertina Club Adaptation by Sarah Myers
A beautiful 1887 New Ulm mansion, the Lind House, hosts a landmark theatrical work ideal for the setting -- Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard -- in a production featuring renowned Twin Cities-based actors from the stages of the Guthrie, the Jungle and Theatre de la Jeune Lune. Audiences move in and around the house to the strains of a live polka band, experiencing the characters cooking, dancing, debating, and attempting to indulge their unrequited passions. It's a rare opportunity to step inside the world of Chekhov's eccentric and comedic characters; living the drama with them.
