Over the River and Through the Woods
July 17-26, the Plaza Playhouse Theater is pleased to present "Over the River and Through the Woods", a comedic play by Joe DiPietro, directed by Jordana Lawrence.
Our play revolves around Nick...a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. His parents retired and moved to Florida. That doesn't mean his family isn't still in Jersey. In fact, he sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. This is routine until he has to tell them that he's been offered a dream job. The job he's been waiting formarketing executivewould take him away from his beloved, but annoying, grandparents. He tells them. The news doesn't sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. How could he betray his family's love to move to Seattle, for a job, wonder his grandparents? Well, Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma do their level best, and that includes bringing to dinner the lovelyand singleCaitlin O'Hare as baitwe won't give the ending away here.
Showdates are July 17 at 8 pm, July 18 at 8 pm, July 19 at 3 pm, July 24 at 8 pm, July 25 at 8 pm and July 26 at 3 pm. Tickets are $15.00 general admission, $12.00 for senior or student and may be purchased online, at Seastrand (919 Linden Ave., with cash or check only) or at the theater box office on hour prior to showtime.
